User Agreement

This User Agreement (“Agreement”) governs your access to and use of BrandsBuy, a brand discovery and recommendation platform operated from Singapore. By creating an account, accessing authenticated features, or otherwise indicating acceptance, you agree to this Agreement.
1. Eligibility and acceptance
You must have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement. If applicable law requires permission from a parent or guardian, you may use the service only with that permission. If you do not agree to these terms, do not create an account or use authenticated community features.
2. What BrandsBuy provides
BrandsBuy helps users discover brands by country and category, view structured brand information, compare community ratings, and read user reviews. BrandsBuy is not a marketplace, seller, dealer, product manufacturer, or party to transactions between users and third parties. Information is provided for general discovery and informational purposes.
3. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
You may register using email and password or an available third-party authentication provider such as Google. Third-party authentication is also subject to that provider’s terms and policies.
4. Community contributions
Authenticated users may submit brands, suggest changes to brand information, post ratings and reviews, and upload permitted images. Brand submissions and brand edit suggestions may be reviewed before publication. Reviews may be published immediately and may later be hidden or removed if they violate this Agreement.
A user may publish multiple reviews for a brand. Published reviews cannot be edited. You may delete any of your own reviews without a waiting period.
5. Your content and licence
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant BrandsBuy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, display, translate, distribute, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, promote, and protect the platform.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content, and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge. The licence continues for copies reasonably retained in backups, moderation records, edit history, or where continued retention is required for legitimate business or legal purposes.
6. Images and intellectual property
Do not upload logos, gallery images, review images, or other materials unless you are authorised to use them. Brand names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance on BrandsBuy does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or ownership by BrandsBuy.
7. Prohibited conduct
You must not submit unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, abusive, hateful, threatening, obscene, infringing, fraudulent, or privacy-invasive content. You must not impersonate others, manipulate ratings, post undisclosed promotional content, upload malware, scrape or overload the service, bypass access controls, or use automated systems in a manner that disrupts the platform.
8. Moderation and enforcement
We may review, approve, reject, edit for formatting, hide, preserve, or remove content, but we are not required to monitor every submission. We may restrict or suspend accounts that violate this Agreement, threaten platform integrity, or create legal or security risk. Moderation decisions may be made without prior notice where reasonably necessary.
9. Data quality and user reliance
Brand rankings, descriptions, links, ratings, reviews, founding information, and other content may be incomplete, outdated, subjective, or inaccurate. You should independently verify information before relying on it. Community opinions belong to their authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of BrandsBuy.
10. Third-party websites
BrandsBuy may link to official brand websites and other third-party services. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, content, security, privacy practices, products, or transactions. Accessing third-party services is at your own risk.
11. Personal data
We may process account details such as your name, email address, authentication identifiers, profile image, submissions, uploaded media, moderation records, and technical or security data to create and secure accounts, provide platform features, display community contributions, moderate content, respond to inquiries, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Where Google authentication is used, we receive the account information made available through the authorised login flow. Questions or requests concerning your personal data may be sent to service@brandsbuy.com.
12. Availability and changes to the service
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features and may perform maintenance without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee that content will always remain available or that every submission will be accepted or retained.
13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BrandsBuy and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, loss of profits or data, decisions made using platform information, third-party conduct, or unauthorised access beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in this Agreement excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Changes to this Agreement
We may update this Agreement as the platform evolves. The current version and effective date will be posted on this page. Where appropriate, we may provide additional notice or request renewed acceptance. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
15. Governing law and contact
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Singapore. You agree to first contact us in good faith regarding any concern. Subject to applicable law, disputes are submitted to the courts of Singapore. For questions about this Agreement, contact service@brandsbuy.com.
